With a distinctive fruit-forward character Cabernet Franc has begun to come into its own as a varietal wine, and it does particularly well in Washington State where the vegetal notes found in other regions are tamped down, tending more toward notes of coffee and olive. Our featured wine, the 2013 "Another Solo" Cabernet Franc, is showing beautifully with aromas of toasted vanilla and rich flavors of brandied cherry, strawberry compote and wildflowers. Less than 50 cases remain.
